Hello, my name is Haruka Endo, and this is my personal website. I am currently a 7th grader at Harvard-Westlake School In Los Angeles, CA. In this website, I will explore my passion in all aspects of art.
Ever since I learned how to read and write, I loved to doodle. At times when I was bored at home I would grab a piece of paper and draw whatever I wanted. Sometimes it was a intrinsic flower I saw outside, other times it would be a cluster of patterns. After I began elementary school I began to learn more about the different types of art. I began to get interested in paints and sculptures and started to draw more pictures that had meanings to them. I remember in 3rd grade when I went to my first art museum. There were a variety of things that amazed me like a sculpture made out of utensils or a painting of a busy New York scene. Before that I thought that art had certain limits but after my visit, I learned that there is no limit to art. I believe that everyone has a different view of art, and it can be an open space to anyone who’s interested. To me, my art represents me and I hope other people can appreciate that too. Now I’m in 7th grade and art is one of the most important things in my life. My favorite art form is sketching and drawing but I also love painting, sculpture, graphic design, photography, watercolor, and more.
Instead of thinking about art as a hobby, I think of it like it’s a signature part of me. Exploring art has truly shaped me into the person I am today and I can’t be grateful enough for that. I hope that you will be able to smile and feel the emotions I try to convey through my artwork as you look through my website. Thank you!
